Challenges and Solution:

The turnkey construction of complete water treatment and distribution system including all design and permits. Excellent planning and project management enable the project completion in a timely fashion

Special Features:

Raw water intake and pumping station is designed to gain a quick permit. The intake channel with dual purpose in extracting flowing river without disturbing waterway and pre-sediment during the high turbidity period. The whole water treatment plant features the recovery of filter backwash.

Benefits:

Increase the net water output by reducing the water loss in production to less than 0.5%.

Egcom-Tara, a private water company, had awarded the turnkey construction of a water treatment plant and pumping stations to Aquathai. The project consists of several components in various locations:
  • Pang Puay Water Treatment Plant, 24,000 m3/d with a raw water pumping intake and station, ten(10) pre-fabricated sludge blanket  clarifiers, Aqualear, and  four (4) Horizontal Sand filters complete with chemical storage and dosing systems (gas chlorinator with safety tank and gas detector, lime, alum, polymer), transmission pumping with 2,000 m3 clearwell, sludge lagoon, service water, administration building with offices, workshop, garage, control, lab and chemical room. Complete electrical work include power  extension and permitting from PEA. The plant is automatic with PLC and SCADA system enabling the remote monitoring of distribution pumping stations.
  • Lak Muang Water Treatment Plant, 12,000 m3/d with a separate raw  water pumping station and short distance raw water delivery  pipeline, five (5) pre-fabricated sludge blanket clarifiers, AquaClear, and  four (4) Horizontal Sand filters complete with chemical storage and dosing systems (gas chlorinator with safety tank and gas detector, lime, alum,polymer), 2,200 m3 clearwell and discharge pipe to the neighboring PWA water work, sludge lagoon, service water, office building with chemical and MCC room. Complete  electrical work include power extension and permitting from PEA.The plant is automatic with PLC and SCADA system
